  • Week 25-36: We negotiated a payment plan with the IRS, which IRS managerial approval took 4–6 weeks. Plus, Jordan was informed of the steps along the way, ensuring no surprises.

  • Week 9-12:  We collected current financial statements to evaluate the likelihood of an OIC application acceptance. Besides, we provided recommendations on withholding or estimated tax payments are made.
  • Week 13-16: The OIC process was completed and sent to Alex for review and signature before submission to the IRS.
  • Week 17-24: The OIC application was submitted, and we waited for the assignment of an offer examiner to review the application. During this time, we continued to update Alex on the process.
  • Week 25-30: The IRS conducted a financial investigation, so they requested additional documentation. Negotiations took place, and a preliminary decision was made on whether the application would be accepted or not.
  • Week 31-36: The OIC was tentatively accepted, and the case was moved to final review by IRS managers. Upon full approval, Alex received an official letter confirming that his reduced liability must be paid within five months.
